She was deported to #Auschwitz in October 1942 and murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.

30 December 1886 | Jewish woman, Léa Idelson, was born in Haifa (then in Ottoman Empire). She lived in Paris.
She was deported to #Auschwitz from #Drancy on 3 February 1944. She was murdered in a gas chamber after arrival selection.
In 1876, IFD made history by hiring its first Black firefighters: Thomas Smith, Robert Braxton, James Graves, and Thomas Howard. These firefighters were crucial for the safety of Black neighborhoods, as many white firemen refused to work in those areas. https://t.co/lzBu2mKrJj
