Wreckless Robotics participated in their second district event over the weekend, securing 4th, earning qualification for the state. The top 36 teams from the state will compete. Success at the state will propel them to the World Championship in Texas. Wish them luck! Go Kings!
With the new school year about to begin, let’s remember that not every student went on a family vacation, visited an amusement park, explored nature or met new friends at a sleepover camp in the woods.
Some students summer highlights include having a roof over their head and just enough food to survive.
These students have been counting the days to return to school for safety, consistency, support, friendship, nutrition, and hope for the future!
Thank you for everything you do for our students!

TRUE ANGEL IN BUFFALO 💯 A THREAD: A local woman received a call on Christmas Eve, “Hi, you don't know me but I have your brother.” The woman’s brother’s name is Joey. He is 64 years old and mentally disabled.
4 tips to alleviate stress of staff.
1) if asking to meet with them, let them know why.
2) Don't address an issue you have with one person with the whole staff.
3) praise a lot more than you critique
4) less meetings
@jenwagner I had the exact same conversation with a supervisor today. We changed start times for kids so it also altered their arrival and I need to adjust. Add rain to the equation…
Said today in the meeting about moving our classrooms, "You can't have more than three bookshelves in the new building because 'it's a bad look.'"
You know what else is a bad look? 30 boxes in the corner.
You know what looks good? Books, on shelves, in an English classroom.
SRO Ryan Preston not only protects and serves the students and staff, but he also responds to local emergency calls when he is needed. Thank you, Officer Preston, for keeping our schools and community safe!
@bowman_mandy101 @LewisCassElem @LCE_AP These were amazing! So proud of the kids and happy the study materials are available for fourth graders! Great job!
It's been a long, tough workweek, but at least you didn't somehow block the Suez Canal with your skyscraper-sized cargo ship. None of your mistakes are visible from space. Enjoy the weekend.
