However, in recent years - like many others - we’ve experienced a huge drop in engagement due to developments on the platform.
The nature of the channel has also changed over the years and no longer aligns with our University values of collaboration, compassion, inclusivity and integrity.
While this remains the case, we will no longer be posting on this account.

CUCD Bulletin reminds followers that we are NOT the official voice of CUCD, but a platform for discussion relevant to the subject. Should anyone wish to propose a discussion piece on a relevant topic, they are warmly encouraged to contact either editor @CressidaRyan@Nellenist
This is a sad news and is particularly tough for students sitting exams in a few months. Classics only becomes elite because governments and policy makers make it that way. @classicsforall we will help any state school in the UK with Classics with free training and support.

A lovely trip for our CA Member screening of the new Gladiator film @CurzonSheffield with local branch and student members @highstorrs6form@SheffieldHigh and a super intro and Q&A with Bev Back @LeedsClassics - lots of debate, questions and fun had by all!
Verdict on Gladiator 2. Breathtaking special effects, especially siege of Numidia. Vintage Ridley. Hilarious refs to Kubrick's Spartacus. Mescal, Pascal & Washington try hard, but the moral arc just wasn't satisfying. I so missed Russell Crowe and especially Joaquin Phoenix. 6/10
