Over 500 healthcare workers have been killed in Gaza. GEM is working to train a new generation of Medical professionals after the decimation of Gaza's healthcare system. Support them if you can.
@timjmajor Now then! I was chuffed to see you were appearing in Hull next week, then dismayed to realise i can't make it that night... Bah! Hope you're well.
Here's the prequel to 'A North Sea Tale', it's a Hessle Road seafaring yarn set in March 1915 in Hull, Cherry Burton, Cottingham and out on the North Sea.
It's out Nov 7th but you can pre-order a kindle copy here. https://t.co/56tsDgGl5Z

@Edmund_Hurst Congratulations Ed! It was lovely to come and hear you speak. You are obviously well loved. Would have loved to catch you and pick up a copy but unfortunately i had to scoot before the end... Looking forward to reading.
@VueHelp during the 6.30 showing of Alien Romulus, in screen 3 at Vue Hull, the lights kept coming on repeatedly throughout, sometimes flickering. Very disruptive for any film experience, let alone one with such dark scenes. I was surprised there was no one monitoring this.
The Raven Tower by @ann_leckie - Weird, inventive and written with a deceptive simplicity. I would have liked a bit of an epilogue, but very much enjoyed it.

Can't recommend this book enough!
"An enchanting Dickensian tale blended with Ancient Greek myth where ... the narrative glides from the dirty riverbank and dark alleys of London to the depths of legend, the Labyrinth and figures of myth"
