@NicaraguaVisit@MatthewYeatts53@CJPhillips1982 You’re entitled to your opinion and I’m not trying to change your mind. In my opinion, a guy who’s on decent money but shouldn’t be anywhere near the first team is a waste of our limited resources. He got a great offer from Chelmsford, and good luck to him.
@SUFC68@NicaraguaVisit@CJPhillips1982@SUFCRootsHall Let me let you into a little secret…….Southend will sign some players. We even have a list of the ones we want. We might not get them all, but we will get enough. Come 8th August, we will be ready to go. Until then, enjoy the ride….
@BernieFriend38 Targets are a funny thing aren’t they. We as fans all want to hear that we are targeting the league title, but actually saying that out loud just loads up pressure and expectations. I’m sure internally they have (pretty lofty) targets. It’s clear COSU want out of this league ASAP
@BernieFriend38 If you haven’t seen it already, watch his interview. Like KD yesterday, he is another person at Southend we fans might have had misconceptions about that comes across very well in front of camera. I for one am much more confident today than I was yesterday morning. 💙🦐
@BernieFriend38 The answer to the question is “not professionally”. In the interview he recently gave which was published today he briefly mentions playing in the USA, but unclear at what level…..maybe playing at a University perhaps? He has 15 years in football in various roles from 23 yrs old
@FTY1906 COSU now have “their man” in charge. It would be negligent to not back him up with a high quality squad. Let’s hope for some (many) quality signings.
@slimmatt1@WG_RumblePants Hussain was particularly scathing of the pitch and square, even suggesting that Test Matches should be taken away from Lords until it’s ripped up.
@ForeverSouthend How much time is enough time in your view? I don’t disagree by the way, progress was being made, but we arrived at this point more because of personalities clashing than anything else it seems.
@ForeverSouthend No doubt. Kev leading us back to the EFL would have been literally the perfect script. But circumstances didn’t allow that to happen. But that doesn’t mean we should forget everything he did for the club, a true legend.
@ForeverSouthend Maybe we’ll never know. what we do know with almost guaranteed certainty is that Kev and the amigos didn’t want to work within the new structure at the club. I LOVE Kev, but I think the decision to move on is a win for the club and a win for Kev too when he gets a job in the EFL.
