@Schizopolis @cwebbonline That's actually really common in adoptee families. and a big issue in the adoptee community. Adoptive parents often withhold anything from medical information to birth certificates, adoption papers from adoptees as a way to control or manipulate them.

It's very common for adoptees to be viewed as commodities and not people. "Accessories" as #NuryMartinez said. It's also very common for people to judge our behavior more harshly than they would a bio child, due to the stereotype of adoptees all being "damaged." #NURYGATE

As a transracial adoptee - a person of color who grew up in an all white family, this situation speaks to how adoptees are considered "less than" biological children. Why did people feel entitled to comment on his child like that? Because his child is an adoptee. #NuryMartinez

@javonangela1 This is beautiful, but be careful touching oils with your bare hands. I had to give up my career as an oil painter bc I became allergic to oil paint as a result of overexposure, triggered by the use of Liquin. I always try to warn other artists so it doesn't happen to them ❤

@Winstonwrites It was more hurdles than usual. For a simple greenscreen shoot we had to spend a lot of energy and time on making sure people got tested ahead of time and followed protocol on set. I did everything possible to create a safe set to protect the crew and talent.
