One year prior to 2016, DJT was polling 30% of registered Republican for the primary. At that time registered Republicans were ~31% of electorate. Roughly speaking, it can be inferred that he was ~ 10% of electorate. President Obama's white House granted him protection.
600+ days prior to 2008 election, candidate Obama was polling ~12 % of Democrats in primary. At the time Democrats accounted for ~34% of electorate. Therefor it can be inferred that he was about 3% of electoral. President Bush's White House granted him protection.
@RobertKennedyJr (son of man for whom protection law was written) has been polling 11 to 20 % nationally. @POTUS White House still denies him protection.
Why?
The Declaration of Independence expressed the reasons for which the American states were impelled "to the separation" from Britain. That was its chief purpose.
As Thomas Jefferson wrote, government exists to protect life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and that "whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it."
That was the original American principleโthe very thing that made us free and unique.
The problem is, Washington, D.C. doesn't derive its powers from the consent of the governed, it derives its powers from the consent of Raytheon, Pfizer, and JP Morgan.
The modern American regime is a criminal oligarchy that undermines your rights in every way.
It extorts you, spies on you, destroys the value of your currency, engages in illegal searches and seizures, and prohibits you from protecting yourself with the firearm of your choice.
After all of that, it even dares to ask you what you'd do without it!
The IRS is more oppressive than His Majesty's Customs was.
The FBI, DEA, and ATF are more oppressive than the Redcoats were.
The Federal Reserve is more oppressive than the Bank of England was.
As Americans watch their liberty slip away, we still celebrate the deeds of men who realized that the colonies of 1776 "ought to be Free an Independent States," and believed that the only solution to their problems was to sever all political ties to their tyrannical central government.
They dedicated their lives, fortunes, and sacred honors to this idea, even while knowing they would be branded traitors and insurrectionists for doing so.
In 2023, we live under a government far more oppressive than the American founders did. We still recognize the right to alter, abolish, or withdraw from your political system is non-negotiable. We will never shy away from it, or apologize for it. It's THE crucial part of our heritage we're celebrating today, and the ruling class can never take it away from us.
