@MerriamWebster Technically speaking, if you use the ISO 8601 date/time format, then organizing by date is identical to lexicographic/alphabetical order. It's actually really handy to use it in computer file names because it makes sorting files by date a breeze.

There are current legal proceedings on the topic, though I'm not privy to the details. The bit about targeting queer content was a side comment to this discussion.

@Kossuel I know most people are well aware of it, but BlueSky is legitimately a good competitor. It started slow, but it's been developing really nicely. And the content filtering and moderation systems are leagues better than here.

@ekulnaneek @JimSterling That's the point. It doesn't serve any purpose outside restricting views and ad-revenue. It used to serve a purpose before the "for kids" indicator was implemented. But now, it has no real, legitimate use. And it's disproportionately applied to queer content, in practice.
