I DATED A MAN I DIDN'T LOVE BECAUSE HE HELPED ME FINANCIALLY, BUT WHAT I DISCOVERED WHEN I SET HIM UP WITH ANOTHER WOMAN SHOCKED ME
I met my boyfriend during one of the most difficult periods of my life.
I was financially struggling, had bills piling up and sometimes didn't even know where my next meal would come from.
He came into my life and helped me without asking for anything in return.
He was kind, generous and always checked on me.
When he eventually asked me to be his girlfriend, I said yes.
But there was one problem.
I wasn't in love with him.
My professor found a handwritten cheat sheet under my desk with answers to the exact questions on our exam.
He picked it up, looked at me, then quietly put it in his pocket.
I expected to be sent out.
Instead, after class, he asked, “Where did you get this?”
I told him I didn’t know what he was talking about.
Then he showed me the paper.
The handwriting wasn’t mine.
I thought someone had planted it to get me in trouble.
But there was something strange about it.
The answers weren’t copied from the textbook.
This scene feels warm because they are so different, yet they still pull toward each other. One is loud and restless, the other is quiet and careful, and somehow that mix works. It is nice to see two people slowly learn how to be close without forcing it. 🏳️🌈
She handed me divorce papers at dinner.
I didn't even look up.
I just slid a folder across the table.
She frowned.
What is this?
Open it.
She did.
Bank statements. Months of them. Highlighted in yellow.
Every withdrawal. Same amount. Same day. Every single month.
$2,000. Gone.
She flipped through them, confused.
I don't understand.
I pointed to the account name at the top.
You wouldn't. Because it's not my account.
Her face drained of color.
It's yours.
She closed the folder fast.
Too fast.
Where did you get this?
I didn't answer.
I just reached for my phone.
And pressed play on something she didn't know I had.
HERCULES (2014) HAD ONE OF THE COOLEST IDEAS FOR A MYTHOLOGY MOVIE AND SOMEHOW WASTED IT.
The movie itself is honestly a mess. The pacing drags, the CGI is rough, the action feels cramped, and Dwayne Johnson barely gets to do anything interesting with Hercules. But underneath all of that is a genuinely brilliant concept: what if Hercules wasn’t actually Hercules?
The movie starts by telling us about the legendary Twelve Labors, only to reveal that Hercules and his crew have been manufacturing the legend. The Hydra isn’t really a Hydra. The enemies use forced perspective to look like centaurs. Fire arrows are used to make armies believe they’re being attacked by something supernatural. Iolaus literally travels around telling exaggerated stories about Hercules to build his reputation.
And THAT should have been the entire movie.
Give me Hercules and his group of con artists traveling from kingdom to kingdom, using practical effects, psychology, storytelling and clever tricks to convince armies that they’re fighting monsters.
Ocean’s Eleven, but Greek mythology.
That would’ve been incredible.
Instead, the movie eventually abandons its own best idea and turns Hercules into an actual superhero. He’s flipping horses, ripping stone out of the ground and doing things that completely undermine the original premise.
And honestly, the supporting characters are more interesting than Hercules. Iolaus is the storyteller selling the myth. Autolycus is the charming right-hand man. Tydeus is the terrifying silent bruiser. Atalanta is the warrior. Amphiaraus is the strange seer who claims he can predict his own death.
There was so much potential here.
The movie could’ve been about how legends are created, how fear becomes a weapon, and how ordinary people can manufacture something that looks supernatural.
Instead, we got another muscle-bound action movie.
HERCULES (2014) SHOULD HAVE BEEN A MYTHOLOGICAL HEIST MOVIE.
My Mother Forced Me to Marry a 60-Year-Old Man Because of Money and I’m Just Turning 19
I turned nineteen last week. The next morning my mother placed a folder on the kitchen table. Inside were photos of Mr. Wilson sixty years old, gray-haired, wealthy enough to erase every debt our family carried.
“He’ll pay for the house, your brother’s fees, everything,” she said. “You only have to say yes.”
I looked at the polite stranger in the pictures and felt my stomach turn. I was still buying lip gloss and arguing about staying out past ten. Now I was supposed to become the solution to years of unpaid bills.
The introduction happened on Saturday. He arrived with wine and a small velvet box. He called me “my dear” and asked about my studies while his hand lingered on the back of my chair. My mother laughed at every weak joke. I sat silent, counting the years between us.
When he left, the box stayed behind. My mother pressed the ring into my palm. “This is the only door left open,” she whispered.
I closed my fingers around the cold metal, then slowly opened them and set the ring back on the table.
“No,” I said. My voice shook, but it stayed steady. “I won’t marry him. Not for money. Not for any of it.”
I let the guy from 4B füçk me on the washing machine because mine broke at midnight.
Every tenant in this building has been in that basement. Harsh light. Dryer lint. The smell of other people’s soap. My machine died mid-cycle so I hauled a wet basket downstairs in shorts and a tank. 4B was already there folding shirts. We always nod. That was the whole relationship. He looked at my wet clothes, then at my mouth, and said you can wait or I can help. I should have waited. I said help.
He didn’t mean the basket. He lifted me onto a running washer and kissed me like the building had already seen worse. I pulled his cøçk out of his sweats and stroked him while the drum shook under my ass. He dragged my shorts aside and pushed two fingers into my pü$$y. I was already dripping. He licked them, then shoved inside me in one stroke. The machine rattled. I held the coin slot and let him füçk me stupid in a room with no lock.
🎬📺The Devil’s Advocate (1997) 4.5/5⭐
The Devil’s Advocate (1997) is the only courtroom movie where the real trial is whether you’ll sell your soul for a corner office and Al Pacino’s monologue still hits harder than any closing argument ever written. Keanu’s “vanity is my favorite sin” face is pure cinema.
Al Pacino didn’t play the Devil in The Devil’s Advocate. He became him. That final monologue is still the greatest “I am the boss” speech in movie history. Everything after 1997 is just fan fiction.
Keanu Reeves spends two hours looking like he’s trying to remember if he left the oven on while Al Pacino basically cosplays Satan with a tan and a custom suit. The Devil didn’t need a pitch, he just needed a mirror and a New York skyline.
Charlize Theron IMO outacted both Al Pacino and Keanu Reeves in The Devil’s Advocate (1997). Her slow descent into isolation and horror carried the emotional weight of the entire movie. A legendary performance that doesn't get talked about enough.
The real villain isn’t John Milton. It’s the way the movie makes ambition look so damn sexy that half the audience walks out wanting the job offer. The Devil didn’t tempt us, we showed up already packing our bags.
⭐Synopsis: Imagine being a young lawyer, winning every case on vanity alone, moving to NYC, getting a dream penthouse, and then finding out your firm’s senior partner is your biological dad... who also happens to be Lucifer.
The Devil’s Advocate (1997) was completely wild.
