Suffolk County is set to receive $8 million from this settlement, split between the county and Eastern and Western Suffolk BOCES, which will ensure we have the resources to tackle this important public health crisis affecting our kids.

I was on hand today with @NewYorkStateAG Letitia James for her announcement of the state's $112.7 million settlement with E-cigarette manufacturer, JUUL. I want to thank Attorney General James for securing this historic settlement for our residents.

Legislator Richberg joined County Executive Bellone earlier today to announce that Smith Point Beach is temporarily closed to swimming after another possible shark-related incident this morning. Residents are encouraged to stay cautious and alert while in the water this summer.
