The journal quote confirming giving out the blankets is misattributed, it was the militia leader, not Ecuyer. This was also done days prior to the conversation about it discussed above.

@AileInTheValley @one_guy_j Additionally, this group of natives was already exposed to smallpox, the blankets were used several weeks in the past and would have been inert by then. So definitely an evil thought, but would have had no real effect
