@jamesmoon80@Strangeland_Elf If you are ever in Germany, try a Graubrot. Fluffy and soft on the inside but with a "real" crust. Also, German bread is UNESCO world heritage listed and we have hundreds of different ones. Probably should stay away from Knäckebrot, schwarzbrot or Pumpernickel then, though😅
@jamesmoon80@Strangeland_Elf but catered to US taste, or "chinese" food at panda express . Yes, it is related but not the real real deal, if that makes sense. And crusts are often just very hard and chewy (to train your teeth as parents will tell you😅) 2/2
@jamesmoon80@Strangeland_Elf Honestly, from what I tried, the "Italian bread" in the US is more a variation on US bread to make it a bit more italian-style. Same with baguettes. The ones in the US are way more squishy than any I've seen in France.
It's akin to the food at olive garden being "italian" 1/
@Karla1953@Strangeland_Elf My bad, it was in a different reply. I do not mean any harm by it. The op was talking about bakery sections, so my main answer was about that. Supporting artisanal bakers is also always laudable and best☺️ you two and enjoy the Laugen-Gebäck it looks really good!🥰
@Karla1953@Strangeland_Elf That's why I said, that artisanal bakeries are different. However, I've yet to see a bakery section in a US supermarket with more than one or two breads in the German sense. It's just a cultural difference, not meant as bad. We also have the normal US bread here & ppl buy it
@meratrix1@Strangeland_Elf I did. Trust me. We actually went on a search for bread a lot of times. There are maybe 1 or 2 in a bakery section, but most would still not be considered bread from a German POV. Go to a German bakery & you'll know the difference. Also, US bread is not bad, just different
@JosieBedlam@Strangeland_Elf Walmart, Publix, Trader Joe's, Winn-Dixie.. name any supermarket chain. Unless you go to a small artisinal bakery, you won't find what is considered bread. Most of US bread would at most be considered "Toast". If you can squish it and it jumps back into it's form, it's not bread
@616TORCHED https://t.co/g9pxn2GjoM is a place where you can check for triggers, if you need to
And while I think that this is a great and useful tool, books etc are usually better served without trigger warnings upfront. That should be reserved for extreme cases or through age restriction
@signsofsonder Thank you so much for the detailed answer!💛
I actually have a great lumix lense since they are MFT and I use an Olympic camera, but haven't looked into their compacts
Will check out the app, unfortunately some stock agencies make you jump through hoops with phone photos😅
