PRESS STATEMENT
NANS LAUNCHES ITF SIWES PAYMENT COMPILATION PORTAL
Following the inauguration of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) SIWES and Intervention Projects Assessment, Verification and Monitoring Committee, I am pleased to announce the launch of the NANS ITF SIWES Payment compilation Portal for students who have completed their Industrial Training Scheme but are yet to receive their SIWES allowance.
This initiative follows conflicting reports regarding the payment of eligible students. While there are claims that beneficiaries have been paid, many students maintain otherwise. The verification portal has therefore been established to ascertain the true position of affairs and ensure that affected students receive the payments due to them.
Therefore, students who have completed their Industrial Training Scheme and are yet to receive their SIWES allowance are hereby advised to visit the portal and submit the required information. https://t.co/ioD897a3ks

They made the appeal at a peaceful protest held at Iye Ekiti.
It's about fifty days after residents of Eda Oniyo-Ekiti, were attacked by gunmen, killing a cleric while some worshippers were kidnapped during a church revival,a situation that has subjected residents most especially family members and relatives of victims to agony and trauma.
This peaceful protest by members of the Christ Apostolic Church in the environment, is a renewed call on government ,well meaning individuals, authorities of the CAC at various levels and Humanitarian organisations to come to the rescue and safe return of the kidnapped victims.
The people who carried placards with different inscriptions lamented the hardship and trauma the victims in captivity have been subjected to ,saying the Ransom demanded is beyond them.
Family members of some of the victims in captivity could not hide their pain as they recalled how the incident happened, calling for urgent intervention from various quarters.
They equally sought the divine intervention of God for the safe return of the victims, while prayers were also offered for the departed soul of the deceased revivalist who died during the incident.
