@muzy747 @mthobisi_biggy The reality is insurance premiums are high and in my experience it starts from the dealership where a new driver was going to buy a used car for 150k and they upsell him for a 2023 model which might be double or triple the intended budget, with that higher premiums and excesses

@AyandaMalumz @muzy747 Call your insurer tell them you got a better offer elsewhere they will always try to retain you, advise them you want to keep excess as is because they can change the excess to lower premium, insurances are not robots you can negotiate even if your cover is less than a month old

@BantuMarine @AyandaMalumz Underwriting of most insurance does not consider advance driving, you will still pay the same premium, when you are getting cover and they do not ask you about that it probably won't have any effect on your premium
