A moving woman (me) will have it all. The career that fulfills her. The love that steadies her. The properties in her name. The passport full of stamps. 🤞
That thread was necessary, as a girl in her young 20s I'm awakened to the fact that:
1. You can always be more
2. Whatever you pursued for undergraduate doesn't have to necessarily determine your Masters or PhD
3. Black women are more than the eyes meet
4. There's no academic limit, you can keep on going and going and going
So a letter to my 10 years self from now, "represent us well, Ik you can"
I am going to be a successful woman. I will succeed academically, professionally, entrepreneurially, and in every area of my life. I will build a life and a system that work for me.
I will come back to this tweet with joy in my heart because I chose to bet on myself. And when that day comes, I’ll be glad I did because I simply could not afford to fail.

Girl to girl: be that girl again.
Get disciplined again. Take care of yourself again. Eat better & move your body again. Oil your edges & drink your water again. Start praying & reading your Bible again. Get your money up and sleep 8 hours again. Find your spark and put yourself first.
