Great Guide 3 Encounters Carnivorous Animals… Choi Daniel: “If the Boat Capsizes, It's Over”

In the first episode of MBC every1's Great Guide 3, premiering Tuesday, Jun 9, at 8:30 p.m., the three cast members travel to southern Ethiopia—known as the “Land of Life”—to embark on a full-scale expedition. The show is drawing attention with previews of the region’s unique culture, overwhelming natural scenery, and a tense incident that unfolds in the middle of a lake.

On this day, Park Myungsoo, Choi Daniel, and Lee Mujin head to southern Ethiopia, where the spirit of the wild remains intact, to begin a new adventure. Right from the start of their journey, the trio cannot hide their surprise upon witnessing an unexpected scene by the river.

Initially taken aback by the unadorned way of life of the locals living in harmony with nature, they soon come to appreciate the pure, primal charm unique to Africa and gain a new perspective. The culture and environment, rarely experienced in everyday life, hold special significance for the trio.

Upon reaching a vast lake, they are awestruck by the spectacular view before them. Gazing at the endless landscape and mysterious nature, they repeatedly exclaim, “It’s like a world from a video game” and “It feels like looking at the Earth in its earliest days.”

However, the peaceful atmosphere doesn’t last long. As the boat moves further into the lake, the tension rises, and a sense of unease begins to linger as the speed suddenly slows down.

To make matters worse, the captain tells them, “There have been cases where animals living here have actually attacked fishermen, resulting in fatalities,” putting the trio on edge. At this unexpected warning, the members become even more vigilant, keeping a close watch on their surroundings.

Moments later, a massive wild predator with a commanding presence comes into view. The appearance of this dangerous animal, which claims human lives every year, instantly freezes the atmosphere on set.

To make matters worse, the boat suddenly collides with something and begins to rock violently, and the cabin is instantly filled with tension and chaos. Choi Daniel expresses his fear, saying, “It’s really dangerous if the boat capsizes,” and even the seasoned captain hurriedly changes course to try to escape the situation.

Curiosity is mounting as to the true identity of the predator that has plunged them into fear, and whether the three will be able to safely navigate this moment of crisis.

Meanwhile, the spectacular adventure of Park Myungsoo, Choi Daniel, and Lee Mujin unfolding amidst the vast Ethiopian wilderness will be revealed on MBC every1’s Great Guide 3, airing Tuesday, Jun 9, at 8:30 p.m.

This episode is expected to offer a unique viewing experience by capturing not only the joy of a travel variety show but also the awe and tension humans feel in the face of nature.
