McVay with a HUGE error on that last possession. 3rd-and-10 with 2:07 left. You have to give Stafford a shot there!
Run does nothing -- clock stops at 2-minute warning anyway. Try to put the game away! Gave the Bears a chance and got burned.

Kevin Patullo went out doing what he does best.
#Eagles ran 48 hitches on 37 dropbacks (1.3 hitches per play!) against San Francisco on Sunday, surpassing their own record-setting hitch rate for the season.
Eagles had a 6/24 (25%) dropback success rate over their last 7 drives.
Eagles offense with a 35th percentile performance, based on EPA/drive.
That's with 10 of 11 starters available on the NFL's most expensive offense. Going up against a bottom-5 defense.
Counted on defense to bail them out all year. In the end, they were who we thought they were.

That was the Eagles' worst offensive performance of the last two years based on EPA per drive.
That was the Eagles' 2nd-best defensive performance of the last two years based on EPA per drive.
Based on offensive success rate, that was the Eagles' worst regular-season performance of the Sirianni/Hurts era. A 6th percentile offensive performance.
The only game that was worse was the playoff loss to the Bucs after the 2023 season.
"When this era of postseason baseball in Philadelphia began in 2022, the Phillies were the aggressor. They made the other team uncomfortable. And ever since the bitterness from games 6 and 7 of the 2023 National League Championship Series, when they couldn’t finish off the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Phillies have not dictated things. They are passive. They look vulnerable."
Perfectly fine with the NFL banning pushing and forcing the Eagles to run a traditional QB sneak.
But this new talking point that the tush push has to go because it’s hard to officiate? C’mon. Don’t fall for it!

@AnthonyDabbundo Are you worried that slug or bust approach won’t work in the playoffs? Hasn’t seemed to the last 2 years. I wanted to see if the new approach would translate better in the playoffs.

🚨WEIRD PLAY ALERT🚨
First, weird doesn’t do this justice. This is from Wednesday night’s game between AAA @ABQTopes at Reno @Aces … with one out B9, ABQ leads 4-3, but Reno has bases loaded. Connor Kaiser hits a gapper for a double and seemingly the win … BUT …
R3 (Aramis Garcia) scores to make it 4-4
R2: (Christian Pache) runs into Ildemaro Vargas who ran on the field with a cell phone to record the celebration and accidentally knocked Pache over, which is unintentional interference.
R1: (Andy Weber) stopped before third, and Kaiser rounded second and started to head to the celebration…
BUT…
Pache was called out (2-unassisted) so it was 4-4 … BUT …
Topes CF Sam Hilliard thought the game was over on the hit so he flipped the ball over the fence to a kid … BUT …
Since it was only 4-4, and coach/player interference is not a dead ball, flipping the ball into the stands is an error on Hilliard, and the penalty is the base you are going to at the time of the throw, plus another, meaning Weber, who stopped short of third, was awarded third, and then home to win the game. Final score … 5-4 Reno.
Holy crap.
Now, they will get the scoring fixed tomorrow (let’s face it this is a new one) but they will remove on of the RBIs from Kaiser, and add an error to Hilliard. The first runner is unearned because he reached on an error, and since Pache’s INT should have been the third out, Weber is also unearned.
Absolutely the dumbest, silliest, best baseball ending to a game in a long, long time. @Jomboy_ and @CloseCallSports will have a field day. Here is the clip with the ABQ radio call over it because it conveys the craziness way better than the Reno call.
