@vozcoruna De pequeño caminaba por esos parajes de la mano de mi abuela, y nos apartábamos cuando el tren pasaba para evitar que el vapor de agua nos salpicara. Gracias.
This morning I was a member of a PhD thesis committee, it went well, we have a new doctor, and I got to eat the most interesting dish of traditional Swedish cuisine: smörgåstårta!
After the lectures I got to join in for the lunch in the Uppsala castle and that was really cool! Had not been in the castle since 2010 when @coniavitis had his PhD promotion. Let’s hope it doesn’t take me 13 years until the next time!
Today I went for the first time to the Nobel lectures in Uppsala, the main aula is so grandiose that it really made the lectures feel very special. And of course I learned a bit at a completely different physics area. Anne L'Huillier was pretty great.
Today the @ATLASexperiment weekly is an end-of-the-year special and it is ON FIRE, all talks have been great so far and now @fladias_phys is completely killing it! (Thanks so much for slide 3!)
If you are in ATLAS and not connected, it’s not too late!

Today I got post! And not only a local thesis I’m in the committee of, but also a letter! Thanks to @GregorKasieczka for keeping his word and making my day. One #ml4jets sticker will go to to my laptop, another to my suitcase (another is with one of my students already!)
Happy LGBTQ+ in STEM Day 🌈
Today we acknowledge and celebrate the important work and contributions of the LGBTQ+ community across all Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
Yesterday, CERN raised the Progress Pride flag as recognition of the diversity in our scientific community. #OnThisDay we reflect on all the ways we can make our community a better and a more inclusive place for everyone. #LGBTQSTEM 🏳️🌈

I guess announcing this kind of thing in social media still makes sense so here it goes:
this week I got a grant from the Swedish research council (@Vetenskapsradet) to keep running my research group and I am very happy about it!
