@astridclaessen Ok sorry there’s a 3:
Before, if someone put something that gives a kick in front of me I was constantly thinking about it until it was removed. If I didn’t force myself I’d eat without realizing. If someone even remotely pushed me to eat - i ate.
Now - meh. Don’t want.
@astridclaessen Food has never been my issue but snacks and other things - I can go without it. Or just eat a few pieces and then I’m good.
Stuff stops tasting good when I’m full.
I can actually feel hunger again.
My sense of smell has changed, hungry = food smells divine, not = smells ugh
2/2
@astridclaessen Not these discussions, they are more along the lines of cheating and drug ”abuse”.
I am not sure I would describe it as helping me. It is… fixing something in my brain AND in my body. It is shopping me how other people likely feel, how much of an uphill battle I’ve had
@krubner@EmmaBostian It means I never got to experience managing an actual team until way later. I was used to managing a department, it’s really hard to transition back to a team. It has taken me years to pull my expectations and viewpoint back.
@krubner@EmmaBostian My first manager job was as manager for the QAs and Business analysts, I think my group was 10 + 1-5 consultants but then I quickly ended up with… 14 + consultants? And then had to cover another group due to sickleave and then for a while the entire department 😂😭
@EmmaBostian That 100 people will have 100 different views of the role, that you will likely be lacking in one+ aspect of the role, how hard it can be to not ”check things off a list” - and how amazing it can be when you see the effect you had, later. How lonely it can be
@rosiesherry True, I might of course have misread your original post. I have done talks that have only a line of text per slide and nothing else
I still feel like it still fits with ”… remove as much text as possible”.
