Most people don’t pay attention to the bass player… until someone like Larry Williams steps up.
This solo is pure fire. He’s playing a right-handed bass left-handed, slapping the hell out of it, and still locking in with the band like it’s nothing. No wasted notes, just groove, power, and feel.
Bass doesn’t have to sit in the background. When it’s done right, it can take over the whole room.
Anyone else think the best bass players are still underrated?
It's almost a year ago I heard this heavy, groovy, dripping intro to Mexicola. Made me quite excited. Also the crowd was goddamn crazy that night, never before I've ended up so bruised from attending a show 😆
