Someone asked how I actually trade options day to day… here’s the full process:
I swing trade options and usually buy calls or puts to the next expiration.
Sometimes I’ll go 4 weeks out (or more), but even then I’m usually out within a week.
In and out constantly.
Risk is ~5% per trade.
Basically hit or bust every single one.
The edge is money flow on the daily.
Mainly looking at overnight action.
After watching sectors, industries, and popular names all day I’ll buy an OTM call on something I think will pop or continue higher in the morning.
By 4am my time I already know if that trade hit or not.
Check the market again → see what’s ripping pre-market.
When the open hits I’m taking profits in the first few minutes to the first hour.
I’ll leave some runners if I’m okay holding overnight (especially the ones that are already down big — a -99% trade on Monday can still be a 1000%er by Wednesday).
I’ll also jump into whatever is trying to pop pre-market (lots of fakeouts though) and scalp momentum calls for the first hour.
Then at the last 30 minutes of the day I do it all over again — scan the charts and pick the next overnight trades.
That’s been the entire process for the last year or so.
24-hour trading is going to force me to change this up. Kinda annoying… but also looking forward to the possibility of 24hr options. That’ll be wild 😜
Whats your trading strategy and would you consider a strategy like this 🤔
Cathie Wood says she avoids memory stocks like $MU and $SKHY because she still sees HBM as the most cyclical and commoditized part of the semiconductor stack.
Her bigger point is that inference architectures from $CBRS and $NVDA via Groq can reduce or eliminate the need for HBM which makes today’s memory pricing surge look more temporary than structural.
As she puts it when technology costs “triple or quadruple” engineers eventually design around the bottleneck and she believes inference is already starting to do exactly that.
check out this great website I found. Its to show off the website development but man its funny to me how it highlights how ridiculous some products are : https://t.co/255sOyLj6i
