Fun fact: Ulysses Bloodstone was created by @LenWein @marvwolfman and John Warner and intended to be a continuing feature in WHERE MONSTERS DWELL, but the book was canceled by then.

50 years ago today, #SwampThing #1, which updated and expanded the short story @LenWein and @BernieWrightson did in 1970, appeared on news stands. DC Comics will issue a prestige edition of Len and Bernie’s run next year. Len later returned to the title with @kelleyjonesart.

Saddle Up and Read and Horse Girl Gooch @theblackcowgirl are looking for a van to carry her mini-horse Man Man to programs she gives. She’s got a grant, but could use a lead (she’s in North Carolina) and probably could use more tax-deductible contributions toward it (501c3.)

Three years ago today, @LenWein died after a life-long struggle with many diseases. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t miss him, but I am grateful he did not have to deal with Covid-19. I hope he was right that 45 will get what’s coming to him & good guys will prevail.
