@INFEX_TX@AlderleyPark@Bionow#BioInfect is always a super chance to hear what’s happening in AMR space. And it was great to present data on RESP-X. An exciting year as more of the data from ph2a emerges
@Bionow@INFEX_TX Thanks for the introduction. Slight typo. I was clinical lead for UK antimicrobial subscription project, which delivered a world first ‘pull incentive’ for 2 antibiotics, until I jumped into antimicrobial development role with INFEX in 2023
@OSibila It is indeed a nice review article, Oriol. However, it is incomplete as it excludes RESP-X, a very long-acting monoclonal antibody targeting Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Phase 1 healthy volunteer data presented at Vienna ERS, phase 2a study just finishing with data imminent @INFEX_TX
@dublin_damo Please do keep posting Damian. I left Dublin a long time ago & then photos & posts are very enjoyable, likewise those from overseas. Some great ideas for travel & food 🍱
Be wary of using @FedEx for deliveries from USA to UK. My new stethoscope arrived in UK one week ago & I still have not received it. FedEx live chat & phone numbers do not allow human conversation! Appalling service
Beware flying with @FlyLoganair as my Wife experiencing terrible customer service Manchester to Aberdeen . Flew yesterday to Aberdeen, no baggage put on plane, told it would be on following flight, 2 flights later bag still in Manchester. Loganair unhelpful as is handling agent
Very excited to work with Asian ADVANCE-ID network to plan clinical trials of our novel metallo-beta-lactamase (MBL) inhibitor, MET-X. Antimicrobials targeting MBL mechanism of Gram negative bacterial resistance to antibiotics is key gap in pipeline. @davidantibiotic@INFEX_TX
Infex agrees collaboration with Asian clinical trials network, ADVANCE-ID
Memorandum of Understanding signed to investigate hospital-acquired drug-resistant infections in Asia:

Excited to share our licensing deal in India for clinical development of MET-X our novel metallobetalactamase (MBL) inhibitor. MBL mechanism of resistance is an enormous problem in India & SE Asia & a rising problem EU & USA. MBL mechanism is a key pipeline priority for WHO
Infex signs exclusive license agreement with Venus Remedies Ltd to advance MET-X through clinical development and commercialisation in India:

Novel pathways to combat antimicrobial resistance sorely needed. Its super that with this PACE funding INFEX & the team at Justus-Liebig-University Giessen can now advance this exciting BamA inhibitor project towards clinical trial readiness
@gardp_amr thanks for sharing @UKHSA reportThe doubling of reporting rates for carbapenemase-producing bugs from 4.7/100k to 10.1/100k between 2021 & 2023 is scary. One health approach, optimal stewardship of existing antibiotics & a robust pipeline of new agents urgently needed
📊 New data from @UKHSA: Antibiotic-resistant infections in 2023 exceeded pre-pandemic levels
An alarming 66,730 serious cases were reported - compared to 62,314 in 2019.

This is scary, warzone superbugs come to visit! Funders, regulators, HTA entities need to facilitate antibiotic pipeline to have necessary armoury to fight this threat. Antimicrobial resistance is not a silent threat. Antimicrobial BioTech needs support https://t.co/q4ipJ3hPEc
@NICEComms @StephenJ_Fowler @BTSrespiratory @signguidelines Congratulations @StephenJ_Fowler & British Thoracic Society & @NICEComms
Fantastic collaboration to ensure fit for purpose guidelines for asthma
@WeFightAMR@AmrInsights This situation cannot continue. We need the PASTEUR Act ASAP. Otherwise we face a future at the mercy of antibiotic resistant infections without an adequate armoury of effective agents
