I am still having fun browsing the Newark Eagles papers. Here is a 1942 player contract signed by Hall of Famer Leon Day. It looks like he made a little over $1,000 for the season. that year he had an 8-2 record, lead the league in Strikeouts, and WHIP, and was a 2-time All-star.
