This afternoon at Seattle Washington's Renton Memorial Stadium, Patrick Koon ran 8:34.82 in the Brooks PR Invitational two mile, placing second to Drew Griffith (8:31.46). Koon's time is the fastest mark in Florida high school history, as is his official 3200 split of 8:31.77.
