I’m going to watch The Devil Wears Prada 2 at the cinema tomorrow, so I just rewatched The Devil Wears Prada (2006).

And something struck me.

The film is clearly trying to expose the narcissism, status obsession, and emotional vampirism of high fashion…

…but it accidentally makes the whole world look O so seductive, worthy of a.. Devil.

Miranda Priestly is penned in the screenplay by
Aline Brosh McKenna and Lauren Weisberger like a warning, but we turned her into a role model.

That inversion is not accidental 🧵
