I am beginning to suspect that the SABC particularly this program has taken an editorial posture to exploit and abuse the immigration question for commercial value, and this is would be extremely disturbing for a public broadcaster.

Faith is not a terrible host, but she has committed herself to this topic, and out of good faith, I refuse to believe she is trying to build a fan-base or revive a dead career like other has-been creatives are doing with immigration.

When I was in studio with her last, the SABC videographer only came in to record my response to her misplaced question on illegal immigration.

It was like THE moment, ad-break, videographer comes in, “okay now we are going to ask the question” - I recall telling @AmilcarDBaleni who had accompanied me about how odd it was.

We are two-weeks away from possibly the most important elections since the dawn of democracy, and the public broadcaster is not preoccupied with tracking whether service delivery commitments made in 2021 have been fulfilled, not reporting on abandoned communities, broken municipalities and neglected youth - it’s just this, every day.
