On this Design Patent Tuesday, we highlight National Yo-Yo Day which is celebrated on June 6th. June 6 is the birthday of yo-yo king Donald F. Duncan. Volk once worked for Duncan Toy Company as a talented yo-yo demonstrator from 1976-1978, touring the western part of the U.S.
In June we celebrate Pride Month. This week we highlight Jack Thomas Andraka. As a high school student, Jack won the Gordon E. Moore Award at the 2012 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair with his method for detecting the early stages of pancreatic and other cancers.
On Monday, we welcomed our four awesome summer associates, Nicholas Bougher, Lina Jlelaty, Gabi Soskind and Hayley Yang. On Tuesday, the firm enjoyed a "Taco Tuesday" lunch catered from Taco De Ojo. It was a great event to get to meet them and get to know them better!
