It’s surprising that this needs to be made clear. This season wasn’t just about Lestat, it was about the abuse (specifically the CSA) abuse he suffered.
In light of that theme, I really like how this s walk focused on Loustat’s chemistry outside of sex.

This season was entirely about SA/CSA victims. About the abuse, how the victims react/cope and move on with their lives, how what happens to them affects them, their relationships and every aspect of their lives. They made us go through a very hard journey with Lestat and Gabriella to make us reach an uncomfortable expose in ep6, to tackle how important it is to approach with kindness, without shame and judgement, to try and be understanding, to show empathy and to not victim blame.
They showed us in Lestat’s journey how Louis’ support gave him courage to stand up to his abuser to put her in her place for once.

gente me perdoem vcs nunca vao me convencer que esse final foi ruim ou chato tipo assim olha esse shot olha que cena LINDA que foi tipo assim vsfffffff
Don’t take this the wrong way because I LOVE trans readings of Lestat, but for the people mad at #that line, yall realize that if you were to go up to 10 men and ask if they sometimes wondered what it’s like to be a girl, 8 of them would say yes?
That’s the joke. #tvlspoilers
Yall. Paul in life was very much homophobic. Louis’ whole family was to various degrees. They still loved Louis, and Louis still loved them. Sometimes life be complicated like that.
#tvlspoilers
i need you guys to understand that writers are not writing lines because they feel a certain way about a character. are you insane😭 they write how the characters feel about characters

the paul scene moved me personally and i can’t properly articulate why but something about paul reassuring lestat that louis loves him but has a hard time saying it when those were the last words he said to paul before he died crying
Ok I watched it… It’s completely different from what I would have imagined. I loved Lestat, Louis and Loustat. I loved Armand.
Can’t wait for the season 4 renewal announcement and I hope the people who said they were leaving will really leave this time.
one of the more meaningful things to come out of this show, which has always explored monsters grappling with the fear of god, their nature, and the darkest edges of psychological anguish, is the rejection of suicide as an irrevocable severing from god and salvation.
#tvlspoilers
I actually think Paul was there because he’s an angel sent by god to reset Lestat’s clock.
Which means Mama Florence was wrong, Paul didn’t go to hell. 😭❤️
#tvlspoilers
Paul’s not there because Lestat killed him 💀
He literally says to the audience “you are all here tonight because I murdered you, made you, OR memorably traumatized you”
This episode puts a period on the relationship with his mother, and Daniel Hart!? Your score was brilliant! But the Loustat of it all is left dangling.

I think the thing that will (fairly) disappoint people is that this season wasn’t about Lestat getting back with Louis. This season was about Lestat putting his relationship with his mother to bed, so that he could later get with Louis.
This is literally the episode where it established, without doubt for all those who have a brain, that Lestat and Louis are meant for each other. Please, go back to AO3. You can’t handle mature themes.

That episode is in the top 5 for me. I need to watch it again to rank it exactly. Suffice to say, this show always nails its finales, and this episode is no exception. The main cast all deserve Emmys.
