@rationalaussie Honest question: since people only get excited about BTC because of its value against a fiat currency. At what point will it gain intrinsic value?
@nico_andretti_@Andercot Yes, if we could look at those things, it’d look like they were accelerated like an old movie style. If they looked at us, we’d seem to go in slow-motion. But for each of us, it would "feel" normal.
@palminvesting There’s a saying in Switzerland: “Les bons comptes font les bons amis.” Which means if there’s a money transaction between friends, then it needs to be repaid. Even a non-transactional one. Offering a ride is free.
Paying for the ride means you expect it back somehow in future.
@TMFScottP Maybe not all taxation is theft but some types of taxes are definitely a rort: motor vehicle tax is a good example, no reason to be charged based on vehicle value, especially with the gst included.
The registration name change costs the same for a Lada or a Ferrari.
@ashtonforbes@TruthShepherrd Current + coil = magnetic field
Magnetic field + coil = current
That’s the basis of any transformer ever built, and how wireless phone charger works. I fail to understand what’s novel about it.
There’s a coil in the phone that changes the magnetic field to current in the wires.
@ashtonforbes Fucken lolz electricity is not light.
As much as, true, the electrons don’t travel in the common sense of the term from the battery to the load, the current is carried through the wire by each electron pushing the next one along, creating an almost instant reaction at the end.
