안녕하세요, 크레페의 스물여섯 노동자들입니다.

크레페의 노동자들이 억압과 착취를 일삼은 전 경영진을 해임하고, 사라질 뻔한 회사를 되찾은 지 약 3년이 지났습니다. 크레페라는 공간을 창작하는 노동자들로서, 크레페를 함께 만드는 모든 창작자들 - 모든 신청자와 커미션주 - 여러분께 진심으로 감사 인사를 올립니다.

창작물의 크레딧이 창작자들에게 정당히 돌아가야 한다는 신념으로, 크레페를 운영하는 주식회사 쿠키플레이스는 여전히 노동자 대부분이 주식을 소유한 사원주주회사의 형태를 유지하고 있습니다. 크레페의 시작이 출근 후 크레페�� 만들고 퇴근 후 크레페에서 커미션을 받거나 신청하는 문화 당사자들이었기에, 크레페의 노동자들은 당사자성을 중심으로 구성된 조직이라는 정체성을 항상 소중히 여깁니다.

혼란스러운 디지털 윤리에 기댄 기술 남용으로 너무나 쉽게 위협받는 창작 노동 환경을 자주 마주합니다. 지속가능한 커미션 문화를 위해 크레페의 노동자들은 이 문화를 사랑하는 당사자로서, 여러분께서 플랫폼에 시간과 애정을 쏟는 신뢰를 마음에 새기고 '좋아하는 것을 계속 좋아하는 일'에 필요한 제도와 윤리를 수립하는 노동을 하고 있습니다.

국제노동절을 맞이하여, 창작 노동이 놓인 환경을 함께 돌아볼 수 있는 시간이 되길 기원합니다.

May 1st 2026 marks the 136th anniversary of International Workers' Day.
✊ We truly hope for a world where the dedication and contributions of all who provide labor are fairly recognized and honored.

Greetings from the twenty-six workers of CREPE.

Nearly three years have passed since the workers of CREPE ousted a former leadership that perpetuated oppression and exploitation, and reclaimed a company that may have otherwise ceased to exist. As the workers who operate this space, we wish to offer our deepest gratitude to every artist and every client who is building CREPE alongside us.

Rooted in the belief that credit for creative work must rightfully return to those who create it, Cookieplace Inc. (the company behind CREPE) continues to operate as an employee-owned company where the majority of its workers hold shares. CREPE was created by people who would work to build CREPE during the day and then apply for or take commissions on CREPE outside of work hours. As such, our company's identity is centered on a lived experience as cultural insiders, and this remains something we deeply cherish.

These days we frequently encounter situations where the creative labor environment under threat, often endangered by the abuse of technology under the guise of shifting digital ethics. For the sake of a sustainable commission culture, we will uphold the trust and affection you place in this platform as the workers of CREPE and as people who genuinely love this culture. We are striving everyday to build systems and uphold ethics necessary to allow you to keep engaging with the things you love.

On this International Workers' Day, we hope to take moment to pause and reflect on the current environment in which creative labor exists.

We will continue to fight as best we can for the well-being of everyone who co-creates the commission culture and our platform.
