one reason why i'm ok being on my ones most of the time is the holding of my tongue, i am unorthodox in the way i do my delivery and most peeps don't like my delivery, i'll admit i could be raunchy sometimes but nonetheless honest, some don't like my kind of honesty.
because a few people separate the two. they’ll watch that content creator because it’s informative, then completely ignore the creator’s social media because they don’t like the personality, shit takes, arguments, or bitcher behavior…oops, sorry i mean twitter behavior
you know what? thinking about it now there is a big difference between “This creator makes useful content.” and “I enjoy following this creator.” it’s not a MUST to like both.
I think the issue occurs when there is an established franchise that swaps a male character for a female one. I refrain from using the word "woke" and just opt for it being a poor creative choice. Woke is used to describe anything people don't like these days and its entered lolcow territory. Lara Croft won't catch any heat in the modern age because Tomb Raider is the IP she is synonymous with. You can bet your ass if they replace Lara Croft with Larry Croft, there will be Hell to pay.
Playing as a woman is fine but replacing legacy male characters with female characters is a risky move and definitely not worth it most of the time. Making a new franchise would be better imo. I think the culture war stuff drags these conversations into very muddy waters because everybody is so inflammatory, but there is definitely a conversation to be had there.
truth to be told i did play on t8 for a good while and uninstalled it because i'll admit i was lied to when back to basics wasn't really basics but went back to bullshit but you what? i'm gonna use the fact the game can't run on my pc again as an excuse to retire and play sf6
idk man i'm 50/50 with all this like i understand the fans were all lied to and most of us are emotionally invested so of course they'll speak up but at the same time some fans on twitter takes shit too far, harada & nakatsu left and now murray is planning on leaving
3. some could tell me i can wait until he comes and buy individually but going back to #1 when i mentioned it's not worth the wait i'd probably already move on playing other games by then and forget yujiro hanma was even coming to t8.
ok i was kinda hyped yujiro was coming but i changed my mind for reasons
1. it's not really worth the wait, don't got patients for that especially after from the defensive patch promise to the back to basics promise.
2. it's not worth buying the season pass for ONE character you'll end up using anyway, couldn't give a shit about the costumes, probably nothing that would even appeal to me.
one thing the fgc needs to consider, if you guys played L4D1 to 4 you'll know where i'm getting at here, if not idek how this tweet can make sense to you just scroll past. Suppose namco is short staffed t8 ends up like L4D. then what? you'll still gonna complain?
The Tekken community might just be one of the worst parts of the fgc.
Constant bullying & harassment to each other and the directors.
Now, two of your main directors have quit the company, yet everyone continues to try and push out the last remaining director, Michael Murray?
Nobody seems to know what constructive criticism is, just straight insults & bullying.
then again....to be completely honest murray should just come off twitter, no attack or no nothing but it just don't look good especially after harada & nakatsu left namco
Almost all of Tekken 8 Game Directors and Producers have left Bandai Namco. Harada, Ikeada, & Yohei are all gone now leaving only Michael Murray & Yasuki Nakabayashi to lead the games development
So many questions in the air…
What is the future of Tekken?
What is happening behind the scenes?
Will Tekken 8 finish with Season 3?
Will there be a season 4?
Is it time to try another fighting game?
Sigh…
Harada and Nakastu left Bandai Namco Studios due to greed and terrible treatment of staff. In 2024, A whistleblower exposed the work conditions BNE created after making the decision to cut staff. At the same time, Harada began expressing frustration with BNE focusing on profits over passion
❗️Whistleblower 2024 leak press:
“BNE wanted to downsize their gaming studios to cut cost so they ended work from home and fired the employees who couldn’t come back immediately. Due to the sudden mandatory return to work, there weren't enough seats, so people had to cram in, resulting in many floors experiencing oxygen deprivation. The contracts of temporary employees were terminated, permanent employees were sent to a department known as the "dismissal department," where they were given no work but their performance evaluations were lowered to encourage voluntary resignation. They rummage through past events and PC logs to find faults, investigate employees' PC logs and work performance over several years, and if there is even the slightest mistake, use that as an excuse to fire them saying, "I committed problematic behavior in the past, so I have no future at the company going forward." They also spread negative reviews about employees whose resignations have been confirmed to other companies. Employees whose resignation has been confirmed are contacted with messages such as "You should not associate with a person named (partially modified)," obstructing their transfer to other companies.”
❗️Harada’s post from 2024:
“As games have become a major industry, many stakeholders have emerged. There are more and more "self-proclaimed game industry people" and executives who are not creators, do not even have development experience, and do not directly face the voices from the fan community. Come to think of it, it seems like every year there are more and more people who, when I try to do something with an idea, tell me, "Don't do it just because of an idea or passion. I've done a lot of things with an idea, and that's why we have the foundation we have today, but I guess people who don't have experience in making things don't understand that. Well, that is how mature this field has become.
❗️Harada in 2024 IGN interview:
“If you’re worried that Jun’s appearance means Harada isn’t thinking about throwing her son (or anyone else) into a volcano, think again: “The first people that came to mind were perhaps certain executives at our company," Harada says. "They change quite frequently and some of them are only interested in obtaining the highest profits possible to further their careers, and they have no regard for development schedules or brand timelines. So some of them quickly flashed into my head. But if I had to think and I had to pick a Tekken character, it’s tough because most of them would probably survive if we look at past instances.””
it's probably something to do with the higher ups putting too much pressure like lets be real, dumbasses on twitter giving Murray to name a few a lot of shit. there's no fucking way it has nothing to do with the higher ups. if if it's really not i just can't see how
