Weight restored doesn’t necessarily mean recovered & your disorder doesn’t just go away once you “look healthier” because healing your physical body is just 1 part of the recovery process #EDRecovery
You are not weak for needing someone to talk to you. You are not broken because you take medication. What you are is strong and unique and human. Be kind to yourself.
“You’re life is great, you have no reason to be so upset”
“Well at least you don’t have to ______”
“Things could be worse”
“Others have it worse, get over it”
“Just cheer up”
“Don’t I make you feel better?”
The list of bad reactions goes on..
@Katja1710 You absolutely deserve to take time to yourself and relax. Recovery is hard and it takes a lot of your energy, but it is so worth it. You are worth it and deserve for people to understand how exhausting this can be. Stay strong love, you got this ❤️
My biggest accomplishment the past 3 years is the 30 pounds I have gained to get me to a healthy weight. Not to say I don’t have bad days, but I won’t let the number on the scale define me anymore. #NEDAwarenessWeek#EatingDisorderAwareness
Life isn't neat and tidy.
It's messy. It's often bewildering.
But it can also be beautiful.
Many things can be true at once.
The more truths you can hold in your hands and examine at once, the more resilient you'll be.

Being snowed in can sure put a damper on things, but spending time playing outside in the snow with this little lady made today so much better ❄️💙

1. Everyone has it.
2. We don't talk about it enough.
3. That's why shame exists
4. No should have to feel ashamed about a natural part of life.
5. We can do better.
6. We WILL do better.
7. #Mentalhealth is social. We learn by sharing our experiences.
