@bxllyville It’s the physical nature of the sport. Miracles are much less likely to happen when people are just bigger/faster/stronger than you.
Technical sports allow for more errors therefore more space for upsets/miracles to happen. Rugby has probably had 10 real upsets in 10yrs.
Yes, the United States has the most progressive tax system in the world. The top 1% pay 40% of taxes, the bottom 50% pay 3% of taxes. We can make it even more progressive by zeroing out taxes on the bottom half. It’s a small amount of the total tax revenue but very meaningful to people in this group.
All I ask from the sport of football is for all of this to mean something.
Just let him win that World Cup. Let him retire in glory.
These past few years are undeserving of a legend like this.
@MJOMBAMUNYUA@Nanshak5@TheCharlesIsidi What has been your experience in this regard? What are the bottlenecks you’ve faced trying to build a commodities-based business? Hope it doesn’t sound rude - really want to learn.
Rashad Murphy (one of the men convicted for the murder of Julio foolio) broke down in tears listening to his aunt / Adoptive mother talking about how he used to be in boxing when he was a kid and even became a champion
She also mentioned him being an amazing father to his kids
Love Silicon Valley. Absolutely hate this mindset.
There’s people doing their best in those roles to provide for their families.
Not everyone wants to do 996. Expecting founder productivity (w/o the incentive) is ridiculous.
People have boundaries. Thats not overstaffing.
The confounding factor is that virtually every big company is overstaffed by 2-4x and has been for decades. AI is the catalyst/excuse to finally fix that. Of course nobody wants to say this out loud.

Unfortunately people would chase $50M ARR and sabotage their reputation because they don't wanna be honest to their word. and they also think that just because they have money, they're better than you.
I grew up in a traditional Soviet household, both of my parents were extremely hard workers and had nothing growing up.
If there's one lesson I learned from them (thank u parents), it's this:
integrity over everything (yes, everything)
death before dishonor (be a man of your word)
yes, reaching $50M ARR is extremely impressive, but some things are way bigger than money, and for me specifically integrity and character are some of those things.
fyi, if you want to make money in this world i have nothing against it, in fact i encourage it.
just not when it's at the expense of your own integrity :)
long term > short term
