We want them to know that these values can be unlearned as easily as they are inherited. That abuse - when upset turns into coercion and the loss of choice - is something they can talk about and fight back. Something they can recover from.

For some young people, they will have an understanding of harmful practices already. Some will understand honour, especially when it manifests as a loss of control, as an unspoken exemption at school and within their family.

Presented @openforumevents for @GamCare! Modern gambling, increasingly digital and hard to identify, is being appraised at a sluggish pace - as is youth awareness of the evolving industry.

As we begin to design realistic public policy, state intervention should not be halted.

Spent a busy weekend in Birmingham kicking off our @NHSYouthForum projects! I relished meeting everyone and my glimpse of the city at night, gearing up for the holidays.
