A big reason that @AndyBurnhamGM wouldn’t stand in the Gorton and Denton by election is that his personal financial interests would be dramatically affected. His unofficial and official ties to businesses are worth more than a risky seat.
@MayorofGM has ruined the city’s roads, gone hard on social politics, and faked economic progress with foreign investment into rapid expansion of the city’s residential buildings. He’s sold Manchester and himself for short sighted quick cash and this is the type of behaviour the UK could expect from him as a @UKLabour MP. No strategic reasoning whatsoever. Unaffordable extreme socialism is killing the UK - Manchester would be better off without this guy in any form of power. Get him on the bins and see how he gets on doing a job that doesn’t enrich him.

The United Kingdom is becoming a global laughing stock – world leaders no longer respect the country, which is dangerous in an era of rising conflict.

Britain requires a government capable of restoring national strength.

Illegal migration must be stopped, with all who arrived unlawfully or exploited soft laws in the last ten years returned.

No person should access benefits without 15 years of National Insurance contributions through genuine work. Defence must be rebuilt to deter aggression, the NHS reformed to provide sustainable care, and schools restored so that students respect them, the British public take pride in them, and international recognition is regained.

Manufacturing must be brought back to the UK, and realistic investment must be directed into technology rather than squandered on woke environmental and ideological vanity projects.

It must be a matter of months before @Keir_Starmer is faced with a vote of no confidence. He’s squandered the best chance that @labour had to represent the people of the UK and put them in a worse place than they’ve been in for decades.

Nobody trusts him. Most people didn’t truly trust him prior to the election in 2024, yet they had a punt based on the Conservative Party demise into a socialist quagmire removing them from credibility.

@UKLabour destroyed the UK with irresponsible immigration policies introduced in the late 1990’s and the troubles have gone from bad (clear problems ignored) to terrible (problems now irreversible).

Starmer is so desperate for votes that he has to undermine democracy by threatening Labour MPs to back him or lose the whip. This is a tactic used by dictators. It is anti-democratic and undermines any UK attempt to call out autocratic regimes. @10DowningStreet is now impotent on the world stage and is bringing the UK down with his own reputation for being incompetent and having no direction.

@UKLabour has a team of clowns as the head of the UK government and cannot expect any level of meaningful progress with economic, social, immigration, or military matters until a strong leader wins an election and puts the nation on a path that may be unpopular with socialists but is the only way forward to get out of the quagmire that it is stuck in.
