Robert Kraft's antisemitism ad is that is a ridiculous waste of $15 million. But it's also worse than that. At bottom, it's a plea for a return to the "community relations strategy," Jews will support liberal causes, and the liberals (represented by the kindly black schoolmate) will in turn support the Jews, not just out of tit for tat, but also in recognition of the common interests of the out-groups.

Counterpoint: Your problem isn't the look of the thing but the thing itself. The pro-Palestine movement - not every pro-Palestinian person, but the core ideas and activists of the movement itself - is deeply anti-Jewish in its foundational ethos and in its prescriptions for the future.

But what stops you from just going to the Jewish community and saying that despite the pro-Palestinian movement's underlying bigotries, Palestinians still deserve self-determination, safety and freedom from Israeli rule?
