👋 Good morning Twitter, time for a quick Saturday experiment:
Answer the question below, and only *then* read the subsequent tweet for context.
"Next Wednesday's meeting has been moved forward two days. What day is it now on?"
@HelenWallder Thanks for organising the David Hey Memorial Lecture this year. You also gave a cool and calm introduction with added #Bookshelfcredibility 😀
Looking forward to the Heritage Festival returning in full force next year.
In addition to never having appeared in pre-release marketing, the Xenomorph doesn't make its first appearance until more than an hour into the original film. The combination increased both suspense and terror and helped make Alien the Sci-Fi/Horror legacy it is today.
@mrmarkmillar Think it was 2015 at Travelling Man in York. You had a chat with everyone in the queue outside on the pavement. Fortunately it wasn't raining!
@vigilantnight I remember that day. The signing was at 5pm at a shop in York, but the store closed at 6pm. To his credit, @mrmarkmillar kindly went down the line of all the people still waiting outside. He had a decent chat with everyone in turn and signed our books and comics.
@vigilantnight@blueeyesbryce@jack45872@mrmarkmillar I'm hoping we are nearing the peak in the U.K. soon, but it will be a slow decline. London worst affected but the regions where we are probably yet to peak. Stay safe.
@vigilantnight@blueeyesbryce@jack45872@mrmarkmillar Here's my one piece of advice that I read for any budding photographers today. Photograph the ordinary today because it will become the extraordinary tomorrow.
@vigilantnight@blueeyesbryce@jack45872@mrmarkmillar Definitely looking forward to visiting the coast and countryside after the lockdown ends. I'm hoping that this lockdown will also make me appreciate things more in the future.
@vigilantnight@blueeyesbryce@jack45872@mrmarkmillar I'm enjoying my allocated three weeks summer holiday at the moment and hoping to be furloughed after that. Cant go anywhere during the lockdown so at home, but also looking forward to getting back to normal.
