[Emily @Emilyyxxx2]

My name is Emily Rodriguez. I am writing this email in regards to a situation that has recently happen at Boston Community Leadership Academy. 6 students, including myself, have just been informed  ( 3 weeks before graduation ) we are not able to graduate with our peers due to an error on behalf of the school’s administration. We worked as a team alongside our teacher Mr. Anderson to complete a Bio portfolio , who admittedly confirmed it was his first time and did not have a good understanding of the requirements which led to all the student’s portfolios being submitted uncompleted and denied by the school district. I believe it is unfair we are now being stripped of the privilege to walk  the stage at graduation. I am pleading for you to investigate this situation further and to allow us students of BCLA, to walk the stage with our peers on June 11. We have worked very hard and are extremely disappointed the system definitely failed us. @BostonSchools @BostonGlobe @OnlyInBOS @CityOfBoston

There are so many youth leaders in Boston. Do you know a young person deserving of recognition for their active service in our communities? Nominate them!

The Student-Led Forum that @BTU66 held tonight was FANTASTIC!!

I believe @JessJTang and her team will definitely try and include theses solutions that the youth came up with today, in the newly contract ‼️

BSAC announces its new rep on Boston School Comm:
Xyra Mercer, a junior at Henderson Inclusion School. She’s a voting member of Henderson Governing Board. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have a vote on the School Committee — yet.
