@Spotify WTF this is?
You first said: "oh it's ok if you want the widget back just use the right channel"
You got a lot of answer and then you just came with this "Fuck you we don't care what you want".
Great costumer care.
@DahloMetric Hey there! If you'd like to cancel your subscription, you can learn how here: https://t.co/pzqj9Ls1ig. Give us a shout if there's anything else we can help with /LB
Dear @Spotify please bring back the android widget. It will now be illegal to use your app on the road because it is now more that one touch when driving. #BringBackTheWidget
@SpotifyCares Good morning @Spotify! Android widget back yet? ~6,000 votes + 50 pgs of irate feedback in the ideas community & big mad care tweets in 24hrs is all the real-market feedback you need to know how this decision sits with consumers. Next time, maybe try a poll. #BringBackTheWidget
@SpotifyCares Your solution is as ineffective as the bot sending the copy and paste response to all the complaints you are receiving. The lock screen doesn't work if you have to pause what you are listening to thus having to re-open the app. Do you even Android? #BringBackTheWidget
@MotoX9928 @Spotify I've been keeping quiet on Twitter for a long time as well, had to come back just for this, even though I dislike Twitter almost as much as I hate losing my Spotify Widget. Almost.
@BackWidget Yup - These replies, and the attitude of the staff over at Spotify Community is playing directly in to the pockets of Google, Amazon and Tidal. And they don't even seem to realize.
@SpotifyCares Alternatives that are not actually alternatives. The lock screen is something I don't even look at, notifications are something I keep reserved for stuff I NEED, opening the app adds unnecessary steps. Switching platform thanks.
A kind pointer - repeating the mantra of the alternatives does not help. Android users are already aware of the alternatives, what we miss is the ease and functionality we lost.
@Zerocoffeintake Hey Conor! While the widget's been removed, you should still be able to use the playback notification on your device as well as the regular Now Playing view in the app to control your tunes. If you have any other questions, let us know /SH
@abeltrev@Spotify Tidal also seems like a fair option, working much like a cleaner leaner version of Spotify, for the same price - with almost identical widget than the one Spotify just killed. ;)
@SpotifyCares@BlackCarrera Why oh why do I see a recurring theme here. Functionality we the users actually pay for being removed for no reason. You do understand music is not your product, the UX is. And it's getting bad...
@Spotify@SpotifyCares
This was your worst move ever, and as if to try and make it even worse you decided to give the users no warning or indication of this happening upon the update.
