Being Black &pursuing medicine has literally been one of the most traumatizing experiences of my life bc why tf yesterday my team went to see a TBI (traumatic brain injury) teen and soon as he opened his eyes and saw me he started shouting out “ni**er” @ me over and over again???
“terrible person” “bad person” “bad vibes”
so, what happens when you fuck up? the day will come. how will you treat yourself in those moments if you’re so used to thinking of people (and self) in black or white narratives fueled by judgment and shame?
People have a bad habit of projecting who they think you are onto you based on how you look, what you have or what you do. Then be mad when you’re nothing like the idea in their head. You literally just invented a made up storyline in your mind. You are not okay
Since the white man set foot on Congo after discovering the wealth it possessed through its majestic history Congo hasn’t seen peace till date. But One day Congo will see peace.
