Over the past few years I had to move from California to New Jersey to avoid homelessness, lost my job during that transition, and struggled to stay afloat. Because of that, I had to drop courses at different points, which led to my current situation.

I’m a Black college student with a 3.93 GPA, majoring in Biology with a minor in Environmental Science. I’m very close to finishing my bachelor’s degree, but I was financially disqualified this semester due to circumstances that were honestly about survival, not effort.
