@ale1779896@RulerOfPaper5@Provokethoughtz Oh and btw, what you have just described there is misogyny, which is just as bad as misandry. That’s the extremes of both genders, and the “greater part” of both genders do not fall into these extremes as you have wrongfully implied.
@ale1779896@RulerOfPaper5@Provokethoughtz Now, paint me a picture of the men surrounding you. I’ll go first: I have 3 brothers and a dad very much active in our lives. I attend a church with no less than 40 men. I have several male friends. None are rapists, or call women whores, or justify rape.
@ale1779896@RulerOfPaper5@Provokethoughtz Rapists aren’t legally justified anywhere. It has always been a crime, and it always will be. Most people? That’s misleading. Where’s the statistics?
@ale1779896@RulerOfPaper5@Provokethoughtz Do you know it was all the rave at some point on this app to tweet deranged, unfiltered thoughts? People now see how it affects their lives now. Doesn’t mean people don’t do it, but they’re the minority. Point is, times are changing, and we can’t keep dwelling on past sentiments
@ale1779896@RulerOfPaper5@Provokethoughtz Nobody’s saying “women” are liars. That men insist that some women falsely accuse men of rape doesn’t translate to “women are liars”. That’s the same point I’m trying to make, that some men raping women shouldn’t translate to “men are rapists”.
@ale1779896@RulerOfPaper5@Provokethoughtz Now, paint me a picture of the men surrounding you. I’ll go first: I have 3 brothers and a dad very much active in our lives. I attend a church with no less than 40 men. I have several male friends. None are rapists, or make comments about the right to rape or anything related.
@ale1779896@RulerOfPaper5@Provokethoughtz And men need to learn that support for rape victims is just as important. Only rapists should bear the stigma. This is the harsh truth: we can’t stop the act fully; bad people would always exist as long as the world spins on. But we can limit it, and its effects on society.
@ale1779896@RulerOfPaper5@Provokethoughtz If we keep this up, NOTHING would change. Men and women need to be re-oriented. Women need to actually believe that rape victims should not bear any shame. It’s the burden of the rapist. And the more they keep coming forward, the less women would have to go through that ordeal.
@ale1779896@RulerOfPaper5@Provokethoughtz It’s not “men are raping women” (cos even though the reverse happens, it’s not “women are raping men”); it’s that bad people are committing treacherous crimes and deserve to be punished. Men AND women can both fight this war against sexual assault together.
@ale1779896@RulerOfPaper5@Provokethoughtz That’s when the burden of proof became necessary, so nobody would have to suffer unjustly. We’ve had women come to this app to call out certain men for raping them, the past one year. Each of them have come out to recant. Not due to lack of proof, but due to inconsistencies
@ale1779896@RulerOfPaper5@Provokethoughtz Maybe if more people (read; women and men) stopped attacking all men online and actually push for more of these agencies to be created, support of law enforcement, and funding of these agencies, we’d say progress in 2026. This is what the fight should be about.
@ale1779896@RulerOfPaper5@Provokethoughtz These resources are all linked to ACTUAL sources on the web in the “real world” you and I both live in. Listen, we can agree to disagree, but I’m of the opinion that these procedures work well to eliminate false accusations and put bad men behind bars/ 6 foot down.
