a true writer should
- tell stories they fiercely love
- know that writing is rewriting
- forget what their book is about when asked
- collect journals; never use them
- be swift as a coursing river
- with the strength of a raging fire
- be mysterious as the dark side of the moon
Me: I need new bathroom decor.
Me 2 minutes later: it would be funny if it was about butts. *chuckles to myself*
Me 5 minutes after that: *clicks to place order on wooden letters that spell out NICE BUTT*
The moral of this story: I should not be allowed to shop online after 9pm.
It won't always be easy
It won't always bring you joy
It will make you mad
It will challenge you
Writing is hard. Finishing a story, harder.
As writers we need to learn to persevere, to push even when we don't want to.
Why?
What's hard today, is a finished book tomorrow.

Don't ever feel guilty for not writing everyday. Writing isn't just typing words on a screen -- it's reading and researching and daydreaming and collecting enchanted swords and making playlists and eating a mile of chocolate. These are all FACT. I would not lie to you.
I finished the last Tonya Burrows book, and I am sadness. I need recommendations! What are some of your favorite romance series/authors? Any genre, but I’m craving suspense or paranormal the most at the moment.
