With regards to Darwin, I think people need to understand the difference between a 90m signing that's been brought in to lead the attack, and a free transfer brought in for squad depth. He would be fine as a squad option.
Personally, I think if it's between us and Arsenal, Barcola picks Arsenal. We've seen it so many times before players choose living in London over Liverpool and that's a factor whether fans like it or not.

Rio will be better than Barcola in 12 months. That's why I don't think we'll sign him because he will be a backup after the first year, and if he isn't happy with that at PSG he won't be at Liverpool.
๐จ Arsenal exploring deal to sign Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge. 24yo left-sided winger expected to be gettable for ~โฌ40m. Move for Greece international does not impact #AFC interest in Morgan Rogers or other options to strengthen attack @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/lBe1BINfU2
This is how you fill a squad out with versatile options. It's not glamorous but it's needed for Liverpool to compete with the likes of city and Arsenal who are very very deep.
