๐ด INFO: Signing a central defender is not seen as a priority, despite Jeremy Jacquet and Giovanni Leoni both coming off long-term lay-offs.
Joe Gomezโs injury has not altered Liverpoolโs transfer plans, though their stance could change as the window progresses. A player capable of covering both right-back and centre-back, like Gomez, would solve a lot of problems.

Mixed feelings. I think I badly wanted him to be better than he became. Heโs a quality player but simply has not become the passer I think he needs to be.
Inter has offered โฌ35M for Curtis Jones. #LFC wants โฌ40M. This deal will most likely to be concluded which means a midfielder incoming will be very likely as well. What are some realistic options?
Look our Summer recruitment is turning into a bit of a mess
Barcola is obv a left winger
So it looks like we will wait till next season to sign a new right winger.
The solution isn't in the squad
So the obvious solution is sign Mo Salah for 1 more season โ
A no brainer ๐
โ๏ธโณ๐๐ข๐ก๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ - @JamesPearceLFC: Liverpool are set to table an opening bid for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.
PSG have indicated that they value Barcola at around ยฃ145m but Liverpool have no intention of going that high to secure his services.
They will look to do a deal closer to ยฃ100m.
๐ด โThey have a buyback clause with Jarell Quansah, who left for Bayer Leverkusen for ยฃ35m last July, but there are no current plans for Quansah to return.โ
โThe long-term potential of centre-backs is not a concern at Anfield.โ
โBut experience is in short supply - a glaring gap in this Liverpool squad and one that needs to be addressed.โ

@Corballyred With all the comps out thereโฆ.my first thought was Ben Doak. Thatโs either good or bad depending upon who you talk to. For me, heโs a versatile attacking player who will give us depth. For the price, heโs worth it. Speed off the bench is a plus.
This decision should not be made by analyzing whether the initial sale should or should not have occurred. The reality is the buy-back amount is fair and we need a CB. He knows the club and the Prem. To me this is an obvious Yes.
๐จ Jarell Quansah has already ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ข๐ก๐๐ ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ ๐ฆ with Liverpool should the club decide to activate their buy-back clause from Bayer Leverkusen.
Liverpool reportedly hold a buy-back option worth around ยฃ55M for the England defender, who impressed during his time in Germany after leaving Anfield last year.
The agreement means Liverpool would not face lengthy negotiations with either Bayer Leverkusen or the player if they choose to bring Quansah back this summer.

The World Cup begins tomorrow, and many will watch the matches. Soccer reminds us of something we must not forget: life is not a race to show off on our own, but a path we learn to walk together. Anyone who does not know how to pass the ball, even if they have talent, has not yet understood the game. Anyone who does not know how to live with and for others has not yet understood life. #ApostolicJourney
