I have a sore throat. I walked 5.1miles (according to 🍎���️) to find a free #CovidTesting site in Brooklyn. 3.83 miles this morning with no luck. and another 1.3 miles this afternoon w/success. Cannot imagine doing that in 32° weather if I were experiencing other symptoms too.

@NYC_DOT Who is in charge of raising the Union + 3rd st bridges over the canal? Is there a way to be notified that bridges are up or closed? So many families have to cross for school and it’s a real scramble in the mornings if they are unexpectedly closed.

Come September we have the choice to walk into our collective buildings and do the same old regular ed stuff, or we can make plans now for how we are going to disrupt all the ways we weren't serving students & replace that with positive & loving behavior.

@safeschoolsny I think this points to one of the big systemic issues that doesn’t get talked about amongst parents in this process: staff shortages. A lot of schools didn’t have sub money before this pandemic either.
