@bob_ostroski @MattGelb It’s veteran laden on purpose. Wilson, Dahl, Luplow, Garcia, Clemens, Hall all give depth. Abel (and I suppose McGarry) are the only prospects. Then again, most of the Phillies prospects will be at Jersey Shore and Clearwater.

@PhillyIn50 @ConnorThomas975 This was the point I was trying to make to you about arbitration. Once a team goes to arbitration w a player the arbitrator picks one salary or the other. Feelings get hurt. You said they settle between the two figures and that was incorrect.

@LO_Phillies @ConnorThomas975 Are you certain about arbitration? I believe the arbitrator selects one figure, either the player’s or team’s. The arbitrator doesn’t set a figure in between. The downside of not settling before is that the exchange during the hearing can leave the player jilted, rejected
