Over the last week, I went from being unable to exploit a vulnerability on modern Linux systems (with ASLR and DEP disabled) to being able to do so (I had been able to exploit vulnerabilities on old systems). Currently, I am working on a video on how to do that.
I have made progress on my application exploit; there is not much documentation on the syscall instruction, so I have to work with what little documentation I do have.
I just carried out my first successful program exploit last week, and spawned a root shell. Also, I made a video on how to replace the trackpad on the Dell XPS 13 9360.
I got a dead GTX 1080 graphics card and I was able to repair it. A $1.50 chip saved a $500 dollar card from the landfill and let me build a pretty nice computer around it. I bought used Ryzen 7 CPU, RAM, Motherboard, case, and PSU for about $350 #RightToRepair
