Do you know the research that underpins Online Support Groups for MSK pain conditions? Learn about how OSG's are evaluated, who uses them and more in our upcoming systematic review. @paulwhodges@ProfDavidHunter @Bill_Vicenzino @KimBennell@jmirpub
@johnwread @Bill_Vicenzino I agree. In our paper no causation implied. Physical and psychological remain inseparable thus temporal relationship is somewhat irrelevant. Interventions addressing any problem (MSK or other) should address both concomitantly.
@johnwread @Bill_Vicenzino Kinesiophobia was prevalent. And psych features associated to PFP-related disability. Not all psych features require psych intervention, but ALL need acknowledging. Pain has a profound psychological impact. Impossible to deliver a physical intervention without considering psych.
Largest data set to date of psych factors and pain profiles in adults with PFP. Nociplastic changes and elevated psychological factors common findings.
Thank you coauthors @NatJCollins, @paulwhodges & @Bill_Vicenzino and @EFIC_org.

@kaymcrossley @Bill_Vicenzino @uqshrs@PeteLawrenson Thanks @kaymcrossley. If I learned anything from graduation, it was the reason why, in the summer, people in Queensland don't wear kilts.
@kaymcrossley @Bill_Vicenzino The biggest finding IMO was the small to moderate effects in all measures of pain and disability found with observation only. Research by virtue evoking improvements without intervention.
